TPT Seller FAQ

How to Market Your TPT Store on Pinterest & Instagram

The Core Answer

Creating a great TPT product is only one part of getting it in front of the right people. TPT's own search and discovery features can help teachers find your resources, but many sellers also use platforms like Pinterest and Instagram to reach educators beyond their TPT store.

Pinterest works like a search engine for teachers. When a teacher needs "5th grade fractions," "bulletin board ideas," or "classroom decor," they search Pinterest first. That's where your pins need to be.

Instagram builds trust and community. Teachers follow TPT seller accounts for inspiration and classroom tips. Instagram followers buy more than one-time Pinterest visitors. They become repeat customers.

Neither platform replaces having a well-organized TPT store or creating products that teachers want. But using Pinterest and Instagram alongside your TPT store can give your products more opportunities to be discovered and help you build a presence beyond TPT itself.

Is Pinterest Still Worth It for TPT Sellers in 2026?

Yes. Pinterest can still be a useful way for TPT sellers to share their products and reach new people.

The platform is crowded, though. More sellers are creating pins, so it can be harder to stand out. Clear, eye-catching designs can help your pins get noticed.

Instagram works differently. It gives you a place to share your products, ideas, and content with your audience. Pinterest can help new people discover your products, while Instagram can help people get to know your brand.

You don't have to use both. But if you want more ways to share your TPT products, Pinterest and Instagram can both be useful.

What Sizes Should My TPT Graphics Be?

Save these dimensions. Use them for every graphic you create.

TPT Store: Leaderboard banner 1200×320 px (main header at the top of your store).

TPT Product Listing: 1080×1080 px (square format for your product cover and listing images).

Pinterest: Pin size 1000×1500 px (standard vertical format, performs best).

Instagram: Carousel - 1080 × 1350 px (4:5); Stories - 1080 × 1920 px (9:16).

Save these for later. Keeping your sizes consistent will make your graphics look cleaner and make batch scheduling a lot easier.

What's the Fastest Way to Create Marketing Graphics?

Creating pins one by one can easily eat up 10+ hours a month. That’s time you could be spending on creating new products instead.

A better approach is batching. Instead of designing every pin from scratch, create 20-30 pins in one sitting. However, don’t make all 30 look the same. Use at least 5-10 different templates and switch up the colors, text, images, and layouts so your pins don’t get flagged as repetitive.

The problem: Creating your own template system takes a lot of time, even if you’re already good at design.

The solution: Use pre-formatted TPT Social Media Canva Templates. They come pre-sized to Pinterest (1000×1500) and Instagram (1080×1350). Layout, fonts, and design system already built. You drop in your product screenshot, update the headline, export. 15-30 minutes instead of hours.

This is why successful TPT sellers batch. Create all content in one sitting, schedule it across platforms, then focus on making new products.
